A good friend of mine showed me a very large spoon his Grandma used to make gravy with and told me his Grandpa once took it out to the shop and melted plumbers lead in it, cleaned it up and put it back in the drawer! She never new! Just last week I used the freezer and oven to put gears on a shaft and to get a stuck bolt out. I used to use the dishwasher to clean non greasy parts. (no I was not married then!)
