john, i fought my h for quite a while, it was a leaker. changed the needle and seat a number of times, reset the float level a bunch. put it back to gether, start it, shut it off, leaked again. you could raise the float with the bowl off and the gas would stop. drove me crazy. finally found 2 problems, 1st the bowl gasket hung in the bowl a little too much and would hit the float keeping it open. then, found the float was a little crooked and would catch the side of the bowl. works good now.
