When the system gets to hot it will quit working. As soon as it cools it works again. I have had mine to quit many times during real hot weather with the mowing machine. This only occurs when mowing in tight places and lifting the bar very often. I have never had this happen with any other implement on it. It will get hot enough to boil oil. So I would say that a working gauge may enable a feller to stop before it gets this hot.
