Carden, that is why I use another brand of fluid. That HY-Tran is high. Lots of folks have used RTV sealer you mentioned. I don't myself, just hard headed and use gaskets. Are you sure it is leaking there or from the axle hole. There is a seal inside that end plate as well. I have taken my deck off by myself, but it is heavy and help or a come a long is the ticket.I think that the gasket for that deck was around 80 bucks the last time I got one. I had to give 3.60 for a sediment bowl gasket and thought it was high. I wouldn't think there is enough water left in there to hurt anything. After it sits for a few days without being used, you can loosen the drain plug and might drain the remaining water out.
