How's the tobacco crop up your way. It has been very dry here, but it is surviving. Many have poor stands in red land. It is about 2 weeks behind in most places and uneven. It is growing so slow that keeping worms from eating it up is becoming a problem. It needs a ground soaker, stalk buster rain to put it in top and get the nitrogen out of the soil so it will ripen. Burley production has dropped off here this year because many flue-cured growers find it takes more labor than the flue-cured and yields have not been as high as anticipated. Here's wishing you and your crops well.
