I'm guessing 350 pounds without the head. We pull a lot of them with a loader or a-frame, but sounds like you don't have either one. I noticed your dad mentioned a tripod and come-along. The tripod is actually a pretty good long ago method, but the come-along doesn't work real good coming down. BTDT. A chain hoist is okay on the tripod. I usually rebuild em in the frame, but you can sure do a nicer job pullin it out cleanup wise. What year is your regular? They are really easy to rebuild and get parts for, always liked them. I would like to get an early one someday, 1929 and 1930 seem to be the most common here.
