Not sure what exactly you are trying to free up here, but I have used my electrolysis tank to un rust some pretty bad stuff recently. I found an old pair of Cresent tool co. fencing pliers that were probably my grand dads and were rusted solid. 3 days in the tank with current running through them and all rust was gone and they worked freely again. Pitted of course, where the rust had been. Plenty of info on the web and this sites archives on how to build an electroysis tank. I find the process pretty amazing. Just my 2 cents worth.
