Sure messing up today on my part Mike. Failed to mention below that external throttle levers are different between some models. Like if you wanted to use a 300 or 350 governor on a Farmall SH the control shaft from H,SH,M,SM,MTA would need to be used. W series governors used a arm like 100 and 50 series. At one time in the sixtyies (don't know about now) IH sold governor overhaul kits that contained a new throttle arm and no throttle tube. Only 2 kits were sold for H and W4 through W and F 450 and the only differance was the throttle lever. On aftermarket power governor kits there can be more differances than than IH parts. One other thing that I won't recomend one way or the other but have done for a few others installing a SH or M size carb. and manifold, on a H is the end of the H throttle tube that steps down can be machined back until step is closer to carb. This lets it slide into governor housing enough to make it a lot easyer to remove and install carb. Also remove shaft from governor throttle tube and cut about 1/2 of bushing length from end of tube.Reinstall shaft and drill new hole for pin that holds short lever on end of shaft in the correct index. This will cut down on wear area of throttle tube bushing and shaft but will put end in line to work with verticle rod from governor.

He'll be busy working and I’m handing him tools and he says, "give me that..." and I’ve already got it in his hand or "hand me that....."and I’ve got the portable light right where he needed it placed to see. "Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
