Jon,
If you decide to sandblast, I recommend that you do NOT sandblast any of the sheetmetal. Sandblasting sheetmetal will surface harden it and any dents, creases or waves will be impossible to remove with traditional bodyworking methods. Use a chemical stripper like engine rebuilders do or use electrolysis to remove the rust. All you need for electrolytic rust removal is a plastic trash can, a battery charger and some trisodium phosphate (also called washing soda). Use an old lawnmower blade or similar for the sacrificial anode. There is a website with full info linked below. Phil
