I don't know abut any shortfalls in sandblasting but I had my super c blasted front to back and it turned out great. Now I will say that I intended to pull the engine and have it completely rebuilt after sandblasting and yes sand did get into it. The sheetmetal turned out great also. Other than that I am glad I did it.
