Update on 686 T/A

Today I finally got a chance to take the inpection cover off the 686 t/a. I did what Owen said and here's what happened. First I just moved the handle back and forth. It seemed to compress and release as it should. Next I put the tractor in neutral and blocked the clutch down. I could turn it by hand very easily. But the clutch disk wouldn't wiggle between the disks eventhough it wasn't being compressed. So am I correct in saying that the t/a clutch is shot? How can you fix this without splitting the tractor? And how much should I expect to pay to get this Fixed? Thanks for your help, Mark
