Dunno I added the alt some 25 years ago for the guy I brought it from. Do know I used the pulley form the gen that was on it.

Me either if I had a set up that works and yours should werk better. I have not had a problem but do not run lights.

dunno know how far mine clears but its not a problem, not even close.
