"Hobo: Just curious, is that the former generator pulley with hub machined shorter?" Dunno I added the alt some 25 years ago for the guy I brought it from. Do know I used the pulley form the gen that was on it. " I looked at doing this with my generator pulleys, however the dual pulleys I use are about 3/4" smaller diameter, thus driving the alternator much faster. It worked well thus I have been reluctant to change." Me either if I had a set up that works and yours should werk better. I have not had a problem but do not run lights. "I don't have diodes or small lamps to excite my alternators"
I use a dio "This puts the alternator about 2" from cultivator lift frame."
dunno know how far mine clears but its not a problem, not even close.
