ET, That's what I'm gonna do. I didn't think I could, because it looked like a half tooth off. I took it in today and centerlined the shaft hole to scribe reference marks. I found it was only 1 tooth off, and I'm writing that off to bad machining on the old gear. Looking at it and laying it out made it possible to see(on my old gear) that it was keyed at an angle, and the jack bolt holes were also machined crooked. Being broached(key slot) crooked would make me understand why it was on so tight to begin with, which is why it broke takin it off. As far as the new gear, I'll have my uncle(the engine builder) degree the cam to make sure it's right on. Thanks for all of your replies. Doug N
