Posing red iron

*a plain, simple background doesn't distract
from the subject
*the viewfinder was filled with your subject
*the subject was shot at an angle showing more
than one side, this also gives your subject
'depth'
*a light overcast sky eliminates harsh light
'hot spots' and dark shadows, thus giving us
detail
These tips flatter our subject - in this case 'red iron' and after all, don't we want to show off our subject, be it in work clothes or a restored project to folks? A great job and thanks for sharing. As a Wisc. 4-H photography judge, I would give you a blue ribbon for your entry, and I always say, '...have fun at the fair and keep shooting!"
