When I had the reulator apart to replace the screen/plug I went ahead and pulled everything else out that I could easily get out out. The large piston appeared to be in good shape but I did not take out the seat and check the ball/spring underneath. However I was able to push the ball down and it popped right back up as it should have. The smaller piston under the large spring and retainer also looked fine to me. I marked the regulator block cover before I took it off so I know the passages inside are back in the correct positions. I am just not sure what to check for. I would think that if something was stuck, it would have continued to bog the engine down immediately after I replaced the screen/plug. As it took about 20 minutes for it to start doing it again, I beleive that the screen has collapsed again but I have no idea why or what I should look for now. Thanks for your help though...
