If the motor is stuck, then there is plenty of info on the forum about how to unfreeze it. Depends on if you are looking for a project or if you want something to start up and get to work. Even if it ws free... you shouldn't be able to push it while it is in gear, if you could then there are more serious problems! The 444 was a pretty tough tractor, my Dad and Grandpa ran the one they had from new (1967) to the early 80's when it was traded for a 484 diesel. It ran the 7' Mower conditioner, pulled all of the forage wagons in early summer and fall, and planted the corn and oats for 2 dairy farms (about 150 acres each) plus the usual extra duties farmers can dream up.
