Gene, a great big AMEN to your reply. If not for the sportman(hunters and fishermen) there would not be all the deer, turkey, elk or anything else that most do gooders think they are protecting. They were wiped out during the depression. Deer were a rare site here until the late 50's when they were restocked. Turkeys only made na come back since the late 80's. In the 90's Elk were brought here from Colorado and other places and we now have the largest herd east of the Mississippi. Here in KY the transplanted Elk herd is thriveing thanks to hunters and fishermen who's license and permit fees are used to protect and stock these animals. Do gooders do not put one nickle in the kitty, but stand in judgement of those who do. I have also bought quail and released to the wilds on my place as well as some others. I have bought many dollars worth of fish and stocked several ponds. I also like messing with old tractors.
