Guess I had better throw my 2 cents worth in. My Father was a manager for IHC in western Kansas. They conducted breakdown tests on a lot of the early crawler type equipment pulling gang plows etc. I started working for the local farmers at age 12 driving tractors. Moved to a farm in Ohio and continued making spending money helping the local farmers. Went into the USAF after HS. and never returned to farming until I retired. Thought I would grow vegetables to sell. Turns out it is more like a non profit business. The drought has killed us here in N. Alabama. So, Like a lot of you I don"t raise much around here but dust.
