That is how I built mine. I used heavy angle iron for the mounting, a 31 spline Ford truck axle for a rockshaft and only one cylinder. It worked fine for years. All I used it for was to move hay around in the winter as the old M starts in any weather. Someone must have liked it, as they stole it right out of the barn.
