Yes. A small tool for the purpose is inserted into the oil gallery hole in the bottom of the main bearing journal. it is usually made from potmetal (zinc alloy) and has a head on it that catches on the bearing insert and rolls it out (opposite of the locating tab on the insert so it just pushes the insert around and out. Is it best ,No but it may be easier than splitting the tractor. JimN
