here is a couple more things to check. i have an h also that was a leaker. first check the carb bowl to see if it cracked. look around where the main load jet is. take the bowl off, hold it level and put gas in it till its full. see if any leaks thru the casting. next with the bowl off, gently raise the float till its closed, turn the fuel on, see if it leaks, raise and lower the float to be sure the fuel shuts off. if it does shut off, then check to see if the float is rubbing on the side of the fuel bowl, check the gasket to be sure it doesnt over hang and catch the float also, sometimes the gaskets are bowed in a little and hold the float down. last, check the pin that holds the float in, it should be snug, you may need to squeeze the split side of the post a little to tighten it up. check also to see if the posts are bent, they could be off kilter a little causing the float to bind or scrape the side of the bowl. when you put the bowl back on there is a little wiggle room when it seats up to the carb body, try and center it as best you can.
