Thanks, guys. I tried the choke idea, but it simply choked the engine. Yes, there was a "sweet-spot" where it sort of did OK, but it was right on the hairy-edge of dying. All in all, though, it simply choked. I checked the throttle/governor link and tweaked it a bit, but again, not much help. It is running great at idle, but, again, I"m running at the lowest speed control setting (actually, below the first notch). When set to the 1st or 2nd notch, it"ll start to run away. The governor high speed screw seemed to have little effect either. Of course, I did not adjust it much. I had an idea that I"ll throw out. What if I was to pull that screw out and shoot some SeaFoam directly into the governor housing. Maybe even add a little extra to the crankcase, then run at idle for a while. Maybe its just gummed up. Sure would beat taking the housing off. (I remember that ball bearing from dad"s SA I did three years ago.) I"ll be tearing this B down in a few months (it"s my winter project), but it sure would be nice to get her running good before I get too antsy about pulling parts off.
