Champion D21 is still widely available - at least here in western NY. Our local CT store has a whole bin of 'em, and the NAPA has them in stock too. But the C87 is the AC equivalent - they will work fine for you. Regarding heat gages, I've yet to run across one that's more than a few years old and that still works. All I can figure is the working fluid somehow leaks out of them over time. Last summer I purchased a couple of new IH heat gages from Carter and Gruenewald. Gages look original, work fine and best of all, and at $37 each I figure the price is fair.
