Hi, first post - great site! Would appreciate some advice from the pro's who have been there done that!
I'm fixing a Super C and one of the inner axle bearings needs replacement - one of the balls is shattered in pieces.
It is IH part number ST295. My closest Case dealer wants close to $80 for it, and they are a 110mile roundtrip.
I measured it and it seems to be 50x110x27 mm - IDxODxThickness.
On eBay some-one has 98 of these for sale at $10 each - search for Item number: 260135940232. I am thinking of buying one of these (heck I might as well buy 2) and cutting the rubber lips out.
Are all bearings the same? Or is there something else I should be aware of - are the IH ones made of a certain material, strength rating, etc?
Only planning on having those heavy axles off once!
