George: I have to agree with Rusty, original equipment presurized caps hook outside the radiator neck. Original equipment non-presurized caps hook inside the radiator neck.
It was possible to buy a presurized cap for inside the neck hooking, but they were not original equipment. They were replacments for any tractor owner wishing to change non-presurized to a presurized system. I got into this very argument way back in 1972. Bunch of customers at an IH dealership, and one of the best partsmen in the business soon set us straight.
