your cranking issue is a gas issue not hot or cold related.when a 12 sits the gas in the carb bowl evaporates and the fuel pumps takes a few turns to fill bowl again.you can fix this by using your primer in the multi fuel 12"s or tap the line 3 inches befor carb and prime the carb befor starting when cold.just spent several frustrating cranking moments and a lot or elbow learning this little priceless bit of info.got tired of having to be pulled by jd folks at the shows.
