I can tell it looks correct. The actual install is correct only if the needle is not pushed to one side in the seat . The clip has only the task of pulling straight down on the needle (with no side to side influence) th assure it is comming down off of the seat when the level is low. There is as much as 1/16" slack in the distance between the needle head and the float tab when the float begins to pull on it (when upside down) There are so many different designs of these clips, and float tabs that it is hard to describe. Many work for "ever" with no little clip at all. Freedom is the answer to how best it works. JimN
