Here's a picture of my brother using a IH 201 Windrower for 3rd cutting alfalfa. It was working good until blowing a tire on the 2nd round. The field had to be finished with a New Holland pull time conditioner. The IH 201 was purchased at a farm auction and only needed a good battery, canvases & water pump to get running well. It spent a lot of time parked outside, but was used very little. Our grandfather used a IH 175 Windrower with Wisconsin engine which we plan to get running again. He said it dried the hay faster than pull behind conditioners. The IH 201 will be used for grass hay and a good backup machine for alfalfa. Breakdowns have hurt profits in the past so two cutters and balers are ready to use. Is anybody else still using these International self propelled machines for cutting hay?
