we were using a 230 windrower full time until a few years ago, it's just shot. got to the point where every 5 feet you'd have to stop and fix something,every 10 unplug the conditioner, once a round cut the wrapped stems out of the reels and every 2 rounds a major breakdown. some critical parts are harder to find now days. the rocks and gopher hills don't help any either. runs best without the conditioner, every one we've had ends up with bent rollers or shaft problems. if it was all new, wouldnt mind it as it's better at keeping the field square, easier to maneuver in the field, and easier see what you're about to hit. this one probably has more hours and abuse on it than the tractor!
