The H could be bought with more than one rim size, that is in the parts manual, there could have been only one size on the early tractors, my parts manual is the latest edition. IH's recommended sizing was that the tread width of the tire could be 1 inch wider than the rim, so a 10 inch rim is suitable for a 10/11.2-38 or a 11/12.4 inch tire. In your example the 12.4 inch tire has a 11 inch tread width and will work fine with a 10 or 11 inch rim.
