Just returned home with my Cub from the Eagleville Tn Tractor show Sunday before last and did something stupid that nearly got me killed. It was pouring rain and when I got on it to start it seemed the battery was down,so I got my jumper box from the truck and went up on the trailer and hooked up the box and hit the starter,it was in reverse with about half throttle, it started instantly and dragged me off the trailer,my back was against the front axle and I was holding on for dear life, I was pushing so hard that I could hear the governer opening up.My Son in law was in the area and he ran and jerked it out of gear. I was brusied up and have a sore back and le but no broken bones, thanking the Lord I came out alive and not hurt to bad. As a seventy three year old I know better than starting a tractor with being on it. Sorry for the long post but maybe this will remind some of us to put saftey first, believe me it did me. Ed
