Hi, A while back, I bought a 12 volt generator for my 1943 Farmall H because I converted it to 12 volts. I wired the entire tractor exactly how it said in Bob M's wiring diagrams. The tractor runs, but is NOT charging. I was told by the person I got the generator from that it came off his great running Farmall M and that it charged very well. The amp gauge DOES work. The generator has a cut-out on it. I thought maybe the points in the cut out were dirty, so I sanded them and still, no charge. Another question is, the headlights won't work on Dim lights or Bright lights. The lights have new 12 volt bulbs in them. My H has the 4 position light switch (high charge, low charge, dim lights, bright lights). I used 10 gage wiring for the generator and lights. The H runs nice, but no charge. What should I do about this? What should I check? I was also told the headlight switch was good. If you could help me with these problems, I'd appreciate it!!

I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
