I would remove that inline fuel filter if it's not for a gravity fed system. Most are used with a fuel pump. You need to make sure it's a fuel problem when it quits. It could be a weak coil causing the problem when it gets warm.
To rule out the coil pull one the plug wires asap when the engine quits and see if you still have fire to the plugs. Hal PS: You may need to open the main jet adjusting screw near the bottom of the carburetor. Like the one on this old B&S carburetor.
