I think you have a 50 and a 52 M with non original engine blocks. Check the date codes and also see if they have a engine serial #, the one with C248 cast on it probably has a date later than end of M production. Also may have a 6 digit casting number followed by R1 instead of 4 digit followed by 2 letters. For some reason casting numbers were ground off sometimes on replacement engines. Also for some reason in the sixties and possible late fifties IH sold some blocks with 248 cast on side that were actually the same OD of sleeve bore as C264 and C281 blocks
