This same thing happened to my W 400 D this summer at a show. It got wet during a rain and of course would not start, so the "expert committee" took to drying it up. Only thing wrong they got the rotation wrong and wires 2 and 3 were exchanged, it blew oil out of the aircleaner and would not start, so we pulled it and started it on diesel. It stayed like that until I got it home, unloaded it and took a look, starting with the wires, changed them and it fired up immediately on gas.
