You may need to check the O-rings in the hydraulic pump. These are a frequent item of hydraulic problems on the C and its offspring. The bad thing about this is the hydraulic oil gets into the crankcase and all mechanics tell me that is a no no! If the oil level in the crankcase keeps going up, replace the seals. The I&T manual, after some experience is invaluable. Getting enough experience to understand it is the problem.
