Ok, consensus so far is that these are some kind of "stepped head" piston. I'm not sure if these are aluminum or iron. There's a dimple in the end where they've been center drilled for machining but that probably doesn't mean anything as far as material.
If you can find that chart it might give some idea of possible compression ratios. I won't be able to get a picture up as I don't want to pull down a running motor.
What little I've run it, it seems to run good except for the governor hunting. It runs strong. The biggest problem for the tractor is transmission issues. I think it's in the shifting linkage. Right now I have first and reverse. It seems like it wants to go into two gears at once for the other speeds.
