I say keep it 6V. Besure the battery cables are the very heavy gauge and all connections are shiny bright and clean. If it was stored inside I would say the old wiring, plugs cap ect should be ok as long as they were good when it was parked. The points may have to be cleaned though. My 51 H I kept 6V and all connections are clean and it cranks over like crazy. If I plug the exhaust pipe and crank it, the tractor flips over! (Just kidding there!)
