It is not live hydraulics. It is two way because there are two hoses going to the back and there is a second lever to operate it. It is the christmas tree type. I have a ten foot disc I pull with it. I can only use the weight of the disc to get the disc down. The hydraulics will not compress the piston, they will only push it out. The little lever beneath the rod doesnt move.
