I need a new engine for a IH 484, it has a little 3cyl diesel, a D-179 engine. One of the connecting rods is tore up pretty bad and the crank is scratched up. I think it had been run with no oil in it. After I got it it did run but knocked. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement engine at? Or should I rebuild it? I think I will need a new crank and then with the price of a rebuild kit its getting expensive.
All State has a used take out engine with a one year warrenty but Im not sure about shipping. Im going to email them and hpefully find out.
Does anyone else know where I can get a new engine at? Also how much do you think it will cost, Im starting to save up some $ for it.
