Well, I live in a house that is over 200 years old. It's on a hilltop so flooding is not possible. It has survived numerous hurricanes although none in recent years. Large acreage forest fires are unheard of. The last one within 300 miles involved Bar Harbor, ME over fifty-five years ago.
Yeah, a car plowed into my neighbors house 25 years ago. It nearly collapsed. Within a year or two, I built a granite wall on my two vulnerable sides using 2-3 ton blocks.
My only tribulation now is keeping the scrap thieves off my property.
