On the range lever, hi. med. low and rev. you need to clutch it. Then on the gear select lever you clutch it between 2nd and 3rd and 4th and 5th. Between 1st and 2nd no clutching 3rd and 4th and 5th and 6th no clutching. They are a great work horse.
