try and find a thin wall 7/8 th socket to fit in there to get the plugs out. if not get a socket and have it machined down a little thinner. i picked up a socket from farm and fleet, and chucked it up in the lathe and shaved some off. the cheaper sockets machine easier, and you dont want to ruin a snap on or matco socket. check the seal area on you fuel tank and see if its dented, or if the cap fits loose. you may need to bend the tangs a little on the gas cap or add a second gasket. the caps are still available on the internet check the archives for the link.
