Well it depends on what the ratio is on your Hysler overdrive is. I have a F-12 with the 2.1 ratio so that would make your 7mph speed now capable of traveling 14.7 mph. Now I don't think your 12 horse power tractor will be capable of pulling itself to that speed from a standstill. That overdrive unit does effectivly give you 6 speeds Foward and 2 in reverse. Also the number of teeth on the overdrives input to transmission on a F-14 and a F-12 is different so you would have to change the gear inside the transmission to mate to the F-14 Hysler o.d. Good luck with that!

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
