Hi Ken, I have never performed this procedure but looked in my I&T manual for 684 for MCV and Hydraulic pump removal procedures. All Models Hydraulic Pump Remove and Reinstall: 1)Drain all compartments of Hytran oil. 2)Remove Hydraulic Filter. 3)Disconnect all lines to MCV valve, plug or cap openings to prevent dirt contamination. 4)Disconnect PTO linkage. 5)Unbolt and remove MCV and pump.
According to the I&T manual that is the how to remove MCV and pump.
From CIH parts site 584 Hydraulics page 10-01 it would appear the pump is bolted from the pump side to the MCV and the MCV and pump remove as one complete assembly.
