The heisler unit mounts on the input of the trans. You have to remove the shield and the coupler and the part that bolts onto the housing. The OD unit has the gear mounted on it that matches up to the gear inside. Then add back the coupler parts that will line up. and figure out where to mount the control rod. It may be a good idea to also take the belt pulley off as it will spin like mad with the overdrive on it and it will take a blue moon to be able to shift gears without grinding. The pulley may also be at risk of flying apart. There may be another type of OD that someone else may know about. My experiance is with the heisler.
