Hi Ed, Those darn pot metal gears just seem to fall apart over time. I would lean towards what Hugh said, and even if you want pull the cover off the transmission and claen everything out good with kero, put new gear oil in and try it out. I would think all the smaller pieces would come out the drain hole. The bigger pieces will stay put on the bottom of the case ! Good to hear you an !
