Mark: I agree, unless he matches the tires to the proper rims, he may as well stay home. Every one is going to beat him. I don't do much pulling, however the one I did go to I left my 130 with 12.4x24 home and took the SA with 9.5x24. I took everyone in my weight class, and was coming alwfully close to those SC, 200 and 230, even gave one guy with a H quite a chalange. I've got a set of 9.5x24 Generals on my SA, two more treads around the circumference than most 24" tires. Both my 130 and 140 have 12.4x24. On hard ground, and I consider most tractor pull tracks I've seen hard ground, I'll take those 9.5 anyday.
My brother does pickup pulling with an S-10. The pulls he goes to allow the winner of a class to pull in the next heavier class. At one pull he won the first three classes and found himself up against Dodge, Ford and Chevy diesels. He did not place at the bottom of the pack in that one. I'll tell you there were some red faced diesel owners.
I think pulling has more to do with skill than equipment, so he probably isn't going to win anyhow.

The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
