I have used a bottle jack and a heavy nylon tie down strap. I put the head of the jack on the end of the axle and put the hooks of the tie strap on a spoke across from one another. I put fair amount of pressure on the jack and take a block of wood on the back side of the wheel and hit it with a sledge hammer. Usually once it moves I just use the jack and kind of "walk it off the axle" It take alittle messing around but it hasn't failed me yet. If you have to put alitte heat to it. I did this on my F-12 to get the wheels loose to get it on the trailer, have also used it on my JD's as well.
