Does anyone here have a unique tip to remove the top cover off the transmission housing on a Farmall SH. This also has the belt pulley mounted on the front side of this. The tractor is completely tore down to this point.
I was able to get all the bolts up well enough but its so tight you would think it was welded together. I see too that the belt pulley has a stud on each side that needs to be pulled up before that can completely removed.
My thoughts this far ... Bolt down a chain link to the cover and using a floor crane, apply pressure and start thumping the housing with a heavy wood block.
If you have any other magic tricks to go at this please pass them on. I would crushed if I tore this up attempting to get it apart.
